the silence comes back round again

an emptiness where once were flames

I fell upon your shoulders like the rain

you held me down beneath the waves

it’s over almost over

this kind of passion can only end in pain

like a crown of thorns, I can’t wear this love around my heart

though we’ve tried and failed 100,000 times to lift the dark

I wear the memories you leave like scars

I don’t know if I can keep on breathing

If I’m bleeding, bleeding from the start

I feel it every time I breath

oxygen is suffocating me

it’s not a sacrifice we can make

to be the king and queen of heartache

its over, almost over

parting is a sweet sorrow

but the marks slowly fade with time

they said that there will be life on the other side

it’s over almost over

this kind of passion can only end in pain
